Internet safety workshops for parents (News Item)

24/01/2012

As part of Safer Internet Day 2012, the National Parents Council (NPC) Primary will deliver internet safety workshops in various locations nationwide.

The workshops, organised by the NPC County branches, focus on strategies for improving communication between parents and children and negotiating boundaries to their internet use. Parents will get to speak to young people about how they use the internet, why it is attractive to them and get an insight into children’s main worries when online, such as cyberbullying. Parents will be introduced to strategies to help their children be responsible, effective and safer internet users.
